Sardis Lake & Kiamichi Mountains

Sardis Lake, nestled in the Kiamichi Mountains just north of Clayton, is a 14,360-acre reservoir known for premier bass fishing, scenic mountain views, and diverse recreation stretching across Pushmataha and Latimer Counties. Created by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Jackfork Creek, Sardis Lake and the Kiamichi Mountains feature 117 miles of shoreline, three campgrounds with modern amenities, swimming beaches, and extensive hunting land. Acting as a veritable fortress with peaks reaching up to 2,500 feet, the Kiamichi Mountains stretch the boundaries of and beyond Sardis Lake, promising peace and natural beauty like no other.
